Our client, is a private, nonprofit organization is looking for an Outpatient Therapist
Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule: M-F 8:30-5pm, but 1-2 late shift a week of 11:30-8pm
Location: Vineland, NJ
Summary:
The ideal candidate will have the abilities to conduct short term psychotherapy and psycho-educational support groups; Can work in a crisis setting; Participate as part of a treatment team; and have knowledge of serious mental illnesses and substance abuse.
Under the direct supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Therapist is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
• Conduct psycho-social assessments
• Develop short term treatment plans and coordinate discharge plans
• Share on-call responsibilities
• Conduct suicide risk assessments
• Conduct daily initial intake assessments
• Manage individual weekly therapy sessions
• Run groups once per week
Requirements:
* Master's degree (MA, MS, MSW) in social work or psychology
* Two (2) years' experience in behavioral healthcare, preferably in a crisis setting
* Clinical License as required per licensing body
* Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) preferred
Talent Characteristics wanted:
* Mental health experience, case management and therapy experience
* Someone who is a resident of Cumberland or Atlantic county do well with this role because they are familiar with the area and understand the culture and lack of resources
* Someone who is independent worker and motivated
