POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operations Technology Specialist is responsible for supporting the factory and maintaining the reliability and functionality of in-house (factory floor and administrative) computer hardware, software, network, and communication systems. Responsibilities include the assigned installation, configuring, maintenance and documentation of in-house computer software, databases, and reporting systems. Assists in the coordination of in-house implementations of new and enhanced corporate directed software and hardware.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Have working knowledge of the production process within the factory and how it relates to the underlying IT systems.
• Assists/Supports the coordination, collaboration, and communications with key stakeholders related to IT solution issuesoutages impacting production processes through resolution.
• Provide service, direction, on the correct process to resolve internal factory request related to ITOT systems.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to eliminate unplanned outages of factory floor IT solutions and support the goals and objectives of the factory.
• Provide technical support for existing factory computer related hardware, factory floor data collection systems, and business information systems.
• Supports the execution andor coordination of the Installation, configure, administration, and troubleshooting of all in-house computer related hardware, software, database, network, communication, and multi-media systems.
• Develops and maintains technological skill sets as related to the factory computer systems operation.
• Utilize and promote Agile ways of working.
• Supports the factory in the delivery of company data backup, disaster recovery, software licensing, compliance, security, and authorization policies.
• Provide demand-based off hours technical support in alignment with factory off-hours support requirements.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
• High school diploma or equivalent OR 2-year technical degree in Computer Science, Electronics or Computer Technology or equivalent AND 1+ years of related experience
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
• Knowledge in three (3) or more of the following areas:
+ Asset management / Inventory management
+ Windows 10 desktop OS troubleshooting
+ Basic Windows server administration 16 / 19
+ Active directory administration
+ Experience with IoT devices
+ iPad apple, JAMF, MDM
+ Technical reading and writing ability.
+ Basic printer trouble shooting laserjet and ribbon printers
+ Basic IP telophony
+ Basic networking concepts. layers 1 & 2 (Cisco)
• Microsoft application experience
• Project Management and Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Factory Floor IT experience
