Description
Manages and oversees all operations activities; ensures that all operations functions are performed in a timely, cost-effective manner consistent with established operations procedures and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management:
- Plan, organize, and direct production, administrative, and warehouse activities to meet or exceed established production goals in a cost-effective manner
- Design, develop, and implement processes that increase yield and/or improve quality for all manufacturing
- Perform workflow analysis and develop methods for the production team
- Coordinate with managers and supervisors to establish production and quality control standards
Customer Service:
- Coordinate with the service manager to resolve all operational customer complaints
Process Improvement:
- Develop, implement, and maintain processes, procedures, and programs to improve the safety, productivity, and profitability of the operation
- Implement and maintain DOT/OSHA and company programs and standards
- Ensure that employees and managers have the required safety training and are consistently working in a safe manner; develop and implement safety programs to reduce accidents and injuries
Resource Management:
- Coordinate with managers to address organizational needs, equipment utilization, and maintenance
- Ensure that operational supplies are on hand and available at all times
- Ensure that warehouse operations comply with federal, state, local, and/or company policies and regulations
Reporting and Budgeting:
- Prepare all required reports and correspondence
- Implement, and monitor the department budget; manage expenses within approved budget constraints
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify, document, and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
- Keep up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly and/or indirectly supervise employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 software; SAP experience is preferred
- Education: Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
