Position Summary:
The Operations Integration Leader position will be based at Hill Air Force Base, UT, and is responsible for championing and leading operations initiatives at the Plant level by utilizing the company's WIN Strategy. Responsibility for leading operation of the Parker product integration to Hill AFB. Implements under the direction of the Value Stream Manager, the Parker Lean system, and Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a qualified workforce, reduce operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvements. Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations.
This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager or Division Aftermarket Manager and dotted line to the Hill Leadership for accountability of sales output. Ensures full implementation in all functions at the plant and or and facility level to insure sustainability.
Essential Functions:
Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
Meet with the Production associates regularly reflecting on problems, solutions and challenges, thereby creating a culture of continuous improvement.
Promote and enforce compliance of safety policies and procedures. Conduct safety investigations and audits. Address safety non-compliance. Maintain Operation Showcase.
Stage and coordinate work in the area to meet schedules and effectively utilize resources.
Ensure quality standards are met that emphasize and focus on continuous improvement in an effort to improve manufacturing capability and reduce rework and scrap. Contain source of quality issues. Communicate with customers and establish and maintain effective relationships. Coordinate corrective action activities.
Leads the integration in daily operations and continuous improvements, which include but are not limited to; production control, manufacturing priorities and coordination between all shifts in the operation. The Operations Team Leader will assist the Division Manager or Operations Manager or Lean Manager to create continuous product flow, utilize pull systems and to level the workload.
Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work and processes are followed, needed adjustments are implemented and the area is compliant with safety and 5S requirements.
Instill and maintain a positive team atmosphere in the operation, hold regular team meetings and assign team member tasks and coordinate support activities from departments outside of the team. Utilize PDCA in conjunction with Tracing Centers and Team Improvement Boards to ensure results.
Provide effective cross training for associates and backups to assure the continuous smooth running of the value stream. Encourage team to stop and fix problems in order to get quality right the first time.
Work with the Division Manager or Operations Manager or Lean Manager to develop the future state value stream map and manage the plans to achieve it as documented in the Value Stream Tracking Center. In addition, the Team Leader works with the Value Stream Team to maintain Team Improvement Boards. A visually controlled environment must be developed to assure no problems are hidden.

Qualifications:
Four-year degree or equivalent.
Sufficient background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resource management and inventory control.
Two to Three years of manufacturing leadership experience demonstrating a self-starting and hands-on quality.
A good understanding of Lean principles such as Value Stream Transformation (Mapping), Just-in-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, Five S's, Visual Management, etc.
Excellent communication skills to lead and support empowered employees in a team environment.
Good presentation skills to effectively share the success and ideas of the Division.
Strong Microsoft Office Skills; must be proficient in Excel.
Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
Flexibility to work outside of normal shift hours.
