This is a direct-hire opportunity located in West MI.
Summary:
- Our client is looking for a Leader who can combine the responsibilities of managing day-to-day operations with actively driving and facilitating significant organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation while minimizing disruption and maximizing employee adoption of new processes and systems.
- Act as a catalyst for change while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Coordinate all manufacturing activity in the plant, including setting priorities for purchasing, production and inside sales to ensure customer needs are met in the most efficient and timely manner.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Materials Department, Industrial Engineer, Inside Sales
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for all associates
- Coordinate activities between sales, materials, production and other functional areas of the business to meet organizational goals
- Manages the development, implementation, and administration of all procedures related to receiving, shipping and all internal materials and warehouse activities
- Manage and ensure proper production control planning and scheduling to meet sales forecasts and to balance manpower and machine requirements
- Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability
- Directs the purchasing and / or contracting for materials, supplies, equipment and services for the operation of the company
- Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy
- Initiates and administers primary and ongoing training programs for all personnel in regard to inventories
- Authorizes disposal of surplus materials and maintains control over excess and obsolete materials
- Initiates, monitors and documents cost reduction programs related to inventories and the efficiencies of its movement
- All department processes and procedures documented and the appropriate individual(s) trained and cross-trained as necessary
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Required - Degree in Business Management, Engineering or a Related Field
- 5-10 Years Previous Experience in Plant and Operations Management
- Proven Management and Supervisory Experience
- ISO Knowledge / Experience
- Proficient Verbal and Written English Communication Skills
Preferred:
- Familiarity with MRPII
- Knowledge of Composite Materials
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Office Proficient
