On Call Kitchen Aide - Kitsap Community Resources

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an On Call Kitchen Substitute. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about community service and committed to ensuring that seniors and young children receive their daily meals both at home and in classrooms. The position offers a flexible schedule, making it particularly suitable for early morning workers, and serves as an excellent introduction to commercial food services. Job Title: On Call Kitchen Aide Department: Early Learning & Family Services Starting Wage: $16.66/hr Position Type: Part Time, On Call (M-F) 4:30am- 3:30pm, Non-Exempt Direct Supervisor: Food Services Manager Work Environment: Kitchen, Food Services at our Bremerton location. Includes travel to provide meal delivery to classrooms. POSITION SUMMARY KCR's kitchen staff prepares meals for Head Start, Meals on Wheels, Naval Daycares, and Senior Citizen Centers. The On-Call Kitchen Substitute is responsible for all aspects of meal service including but not limited to assisting the cooks with food preparation, food quality and quantity, plating, packaging, storage, sanitation, dishwashing, and service to a variety of customers which includes driving the food service van to deliver meals to several sites. After a 2-week training period, the On Call Kitchen Substitute will be called on short notice to cover shifts starting as early as 4:30am and ending as late as 3:30pm Monday- Friday.
