JOB SUMMARY: The Ohio Healthy Transitions Grant is designed to improve life trajectories for youth and young adults aged 16-25 with serious mental disorders and their families. The Project Director provides direction and support to communities for grant deliverables as well as provides oversight, management, budgeting, and fiscal monitoring of the Federal award. Further, the Project Director responds to community inquires related to the Federal award and engages in program problem solving and resolution with grant sub-recipients. The Project Director also interprets federal & state laws, regulations, administrative rules as well as agency policies and procedures relevant to the department.

- Oversee the day-to-day administration and implementation of the Healthy Transition grant,
- Provide guidance in the implementation of the required activities related to the clinical delivery, cultural and linguistic competence, evaluation, social marketing and youth/family engagement.
- Provide directions for appropriate outreach and ensure engagement processes are developed and implemented to create access to effective behavioral health interventions and supports.
- Serve as an Agency representative for the Healthy Transition Initiative in public forums (e.g., stakeholders, focus groups, volunteers, community, other state/county/local agencies).
- Define, monitor and, evaluate specified activities to be performed for project deliverables.
- Determine and evaluate risks that may affect the project. Ensure scheduled time frames are met for reports.
- Represent the Department at various federal, state, county & local level meetings, task forces, committees, as well as trainings and seminars.
- Coordinate project activities and trainings/meetings and communicate updates among internal staff, contractors and sub-recipients.
- Serve as WCG liaison to SAMHSA GPO on all matters related to OHTP. Convene regularly with SAMHSA to report progress on all grant activities, attend SAMSHA trainings, and meet regularly with fellow peer grantees.
- Ensure the timely execution, delivery, and accuracy of all required SAMHSA reports and documentation.
- Liaise with WCG personnel and Center for Innovative Practices per data collection and performance measures to ensure processes are aligned with provider services and best practices; ensure that grant-identified personnel are submitting required data in a timely fashion.
- Ensure execution of responsibilities assigned to key personnel including Project Manager and Youth & Young Adult Coordinator; ensure grant-identified personnel are executing grant-related responsibilities as assigned.
- Develop community-wide joint partnerships to support the development of TAY specific services and niche population development of additional service options.
- Convene regularly with provider agencies and community partners to ensure that TAY specific initiatives are moving forward as planned and work towards long-term sustainability of such initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with Regional Director and WCG personnel to appropriately manage annual grant budget.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external training staff to execute grant-identified staff and community trainings.
- Provide guidance to sub-awardee staff and state team partners.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
- All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Master’s Degree in a Human Services field required.
- Licensure: LISW/LPCC/IMFT preferred.

- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate competence in utilizing Agency computer systems and software as required to perform essential job functions.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a management capacity and writing job-related technical reports preferred. At least 3 years’ experience in mental health treatment services and 1 year in federal grant administration preferred.
- Familiarity with children/youth behavioral health evidence-based practices and community supports
- Familiarity with state & federal rules & regulations governing delivery of mental health services.
- Experience in managing a program budget
- Experience in public relations
- Ability to define unusual problems, collect data, establish facts & draw complex conclusions.
- Ability to write instructions, specification & technical manuals for program staff.
- Ability to work independently and effectively contribute to a team
- Travel/Special Conditions: Travel required; should be based in identified region or territory.
