Job Description:
The Office Surveyor will be an integral part of the project team, responsible for creating detailed CAD models from stamped engineering plans. These models will be tailored to each project, encompassing all aspects and phases of the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recreate CAD Models: Use stamped engineering plans to recreate detailed CAD models. Ensure these models accurately represent the original plans and are suitable for use in the construction process. Convert designer’s CAD files to current workflows to supplement information gaps in project plans.
- Project Specific Tailoring: Customize CAD models for each project. This includes incorporating all aspects of the construction process into the model, from initial groundwork to final completion.
- Construction Phasing: Include detailed phasing of the construction process in the CAD models. This should provide a clear, step-by-step representation of how the project will progress.
- Collaboration: Work closely with surveyors, project managers, and other team members to ensure the CAD models meet all project requirements and standards. Process field surveys and submit exhibits to project management as needed for as-builts, RFI’s, and other needs. Assist the estimating team as needed with plan take-offs.
- Quality Assurance: Regularly review and update CAD models to ensure they remain accurate and up-to-date throughout the construction process.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3DTrimble Business Center, and Bluebeam Revu
- Experience in the heavy civil industry
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology)
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
