Job Summary and Qualifications
The Occupational Therapist carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The OTR supervises therapy assistants, aides and students. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.
What you will do in this role:
- Willing to work a flexible schedule M-F
- Manage a current caseload of approximately 15 children with willingness to accept more patients as clinic grows
- Passionate about early childhood development
- Uses standardized assessments to conduct initial and re-evaluations of children on caseload
- Uses a strengths-based approach when discussing therapy plan of care with families
- Comfortable assessing and treating infants with a history of extreme prematurity
- Provide direct therapy to assist children to develop maximum: fine motor, sensory processing and self help skills
- Collaborate with other team members, including: pediatric physical and speech therapists, physicians, nurses and other early childhood professionals
- Collaborate with NICU team members on continuum of care for NICU graduates who are transitioning into the outpatient therapy program
- Mentorship opportunities available, new graduates are encouraged to apply
What Qualifications You Will Need:
- Minimum education required is a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degreepreferred.
- State of Practice Occupational Therapy License
- BLS certification required upon hire
- New graduates from accredited school may apply
