About the Job
OT Summary: The Occupational Therapist (OT) evaluates and treats residents and patients with various disabling conditions to enhance their daily living and working capabilities, adhering to federal guidelines and state practice acts.
Essential Duties:
- Screen and evaluate patients under physician orders, developing care plans.
- Instruct residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment usage.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Devise specialized tools and treatments for individual needs.
- Complete required documentation per policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current OT license (if required).
- One year of clinical experience preferred.
- State-approved certification for advanced treatments (if applicable).
Supervisory Responsibilities: May supervise COTAs, Rehab Aides, or provisional licensed therapists as per state guidelines.
Other Requirements: Participate in training to protect resident health information and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
