Position Summary: Detail-oriented individual with affordable compliance certification experience and strong communication skills responsible for managing on site certification processes to include move in and recertifications, ensuring compliance with HUD/LIHTC/RD regulations, and maintaining accurate records
Key Responsibilities:
Certification Management:
- Conduct and lead annual and interim recertifications for residents in multi-family housing properties
- Generate and interpret EIV (Enterprise Income Verification) reports
- Ensure compliance with HUD functions and EIV requirements
- Stay updated on HOTMA (Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act) regulations
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze certification data
- Maintain detailed records of all certification activities and resident information
Compliance and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with onsite staff and compliance analyst
- Work cohesively with Compliance Specilaist to ensure that all HUD/LIHTC/RD tasks are being completed timely and accurately.
- Ensure that resident/applicant files are maintained in a manner that meets compliance requirements and expectations in accordance with Company policy, Regulatory Agencies and Government Agencies.
- Collaborate with community managers and regional managers to ensure property-wide compliance
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Recertification Specialist, Community Manager, or Compliance Analyst in multi-family affordable housing
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to travel for on-site assistance, inspections, MOR's
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Office 365 Outlook, and SharePoint
- Fluency in multi-family housing terminology and the ability to read and understand various type of documents
- Excellent math skills for accurate income calculations and rent determinations
- Self-Motivated and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred requirements:
- Familiarity with HOTMA regulations
- Knowledge of property management software, preferably OneSite / Yardi
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal housing laws and regulations
- Knowledge of affordable housing programs, LIHTC, HOME, Public Housing
Certifications
- Certified Occupancy Specialist, Blended Occupancy Specialist or Equivalent

Excellent benefits package, including PTO accrual for full-time employment up to 120 hours during the first year of employment which increases by one day with each additional year of employment up to 200 hours.
