OTS Research and Development Intern - SOLV Energy, LLC

Job Description Summary:
SOLV Energy is looking for a motivated and creative technology R&D intern to join the OTS team and work on a variety of technology development projects related to supervisory control and data acquisition (SDADA) systems for utility scale renewable energy and battery storage power plants. As an operational technology R&D intern, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, contribute to innovative solutions, and gain valuable hands-on experience.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist with the design, development, testing, and documentation of new technologies and products.
• Assist with creating simulations of photovoltaic and battery energy storage power plants and the electrical grids they connect to.
• Help develop and test renewable energy power plant control software.
• Conduct research and analysis on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and mentors to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality results.
• Present your work and findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Follow the company's policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience coding in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, IEC-61131.
• Knowledge of AC and DC power fundamentals.
• Experience with modeling and / or simulating electrical systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Passionate about learning new skills and technologies.

Compensation Range:

$19.00 - $21.00
