OT Engineer (Cybersecuirty)
Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid)
Duration: 1-Year + conversion
We are seeking a skilled and experienced OT Engineer to join our clients team on a 1-year contract + conversion. This role involves supporting and managing SCADA systems, servers, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity measures for field-based equipment. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of industrial control systems and a strong background in both IT and OT domains.
Key Responsibilities:
SCADA Systems Management: Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot SCADA systems to ensure seamless monitoring and control of field-based equipment.
Server Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers supporting SCADA and other field-based applications.
Network Management: Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring reliable communication between field equipment and central systems.
Cybersecurity: Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect field-based equipment and control systems from cyber threats.
Field Equipment Support: Provide technical support for field-based equipment, including regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of issues.
Integration: Integrate SCADA systems with other enterprise systems, ensuring efficient data flow and operational effectiveness.
Compliance: Ensure all systems and processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Essential Skills:
SCADA Systems Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SCADA software and hardware.
Networking Skills: Proficiency in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Server Management: Experience with server operating systems, virtualization, and backup solutions.
Cybersecurity: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices.
Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Communication: Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing support to field technicians.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience managing SCADA systems, servers, networks, and cybersecurity in an industrial or field-based environment.
