About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced OSP Traffic Control Manager to be an important part of our team. This opportunity sits within Cityside Fiber Networks Construction Division (CFN CX). This team is responsible for all construction activities that have not been completed by general contractors. The OSP Traffic Control Manager is responsible for overseeing traffic control operations for infrastructure projects. This includes managing traffic control project scheduling, obtaining and tracking necessary permits, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have relevant certifications and extensive experience in traffic management. You will operate in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment and excel in hitting the company’s objectives. To be successful, you will have superior communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand Cityside Fiber’s core purpose and values and be passionate about what we do.
• Review and implement traffic control plans for various projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth traffic flow.
• Monitor and adjust traffic control measures as needed.
• Create and manage schedules for traffic control operations.
• Allocate resources and personnel to ensure timely project completion.
• Adjust schedules in response to project changes or unforeseen circumstances.
• Obtain and manage all necessary traffic control permits.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain records of permits and ensure they are up to date.
• Ensure all traffic control operations comply with safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions.
• Provide training to traffic control personnel on safety protocols.
• Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and the public regarding traffic control measures.
• Provide clear and timely updates on traffic management plans and changes.
• Provide training and mentorship to crew members, ensuring they understand safety protocols and proper work procedures.
• Work in and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and integrity with fellow employees to ensure the overall success of Cityside Fiber.

Qualifications

• High energy individual who is willing to be an integral part of a high growth service provider who puts people first, dares to be different and has fun disrupting an industry
• High school degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in traffic control management
• Relevant traffic control certifications (e.g., ATSSA, OSHA)
• Strong knowledge of traffic control regulations and safety standards
• Proficiency in scheduling software and permit management systems
• Possess certifications from recognized organizations such as the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
• Familiarity with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)
• Experience communicating to and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Proven history of excellent customer service and ability to build relationships.
• Excellent organizational skills- Ability to multi-task and be highly responsive to internal and external clients
• Demonstrated intense customer focus
• Demonstrated highest level of integrity, intellectual honesty and strong work ethic.
• Sharp, analytical, and thoughtful.
• Consistent effort, intense commitment, and willingness to go above and beyond when needed.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
• Valid state driver’s license and good driving record.

Location

Our Headquarters and field offices are located in Irvine. Our local yard is located in Tustin. You will be required to travel to project/customer sites to fulfill job responsibilities.

Compensation

Starting at $30.00 an hour (actual starting rate may vary based on candidate’s qualifications, skills and years of experience).
