Licensed Practice Nurse, Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Nurse
Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Registered Nurse (RN), role is a multi-skilled healthcare professional that provides professional and quality care by following established standards and practices. This role will be an integral part of a care team dedicated to serving our communities families and children.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Triage all in- coming calls and route appropriately according to protocol and document accordingly.
- Initiate all Prior Authorization for Prescription refills.
- Completes all DHEC forms, School and Sports forms according to provider request.
- Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
- Communicate with provider pertinent information to achieve the best plan of care for the patient.
- Documents patient data using established medical record forms and accurately documents patient data in the electronic medical record.
- Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
- Maintains and reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information.
Position Requirements:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be resourceful and maintain professionalism in stressful environments.
- Extensive knowledge of pediatric vaccine schedule and the SC VFC program.
Licensing/Certification:
- Active South Carolina LPN, RN or CMA License Experience.
- 1-2 years of LPN, RN or CMA experience in an ambulatory pediatric setting.
- Preferred 2 years' experience with pediatric point of care testing preferred.
Education: Post High School education from an accredited school of Nursing Require
