UM Upper Chesapeake Health (UMUCH), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has a full-time employed position available for a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their practice located in Bel Air, MD.
APP Job Specifics:
- Position will manage and treat patients in the Cardiac Prep and Recovery Unit, focusing on stress labs, nuclear and routine stress testing. Also responsible for inpatient consults, and seeing patients in the clinic.
- Well-established practice serving the community for over 20 years.
- Collaborative, supportive team comprised of 10 physicians, 9 advanced practice providers, as well as medical assistants and administrative support staff.
- Full-time, day shift, benefit eligible position with one day off every other week. No call requirements.
- Family, Adult, and Acute Care NPs are welcome to apply.
- Cardiology experience is highly preferred.

QualificationsEducation & Training: Requires a Master of Science degree with completion of an approved acute care, adult primary care or family nurse practitioner program and maintain licensure through the Maryland Board of Nursing. NPI number, DEA and CDS required. ACLS and BLS certification required.
Work Orientation & Experience: Prefer a minimum of one year of acute care and/or cardiology experience, including ability to competently supervise cardiac stress tests. Proficiency in 12 lead EKG interpretation. Critical care and cardiac cath lab experience highly preferred.
