Allied Digestive Health is looking for a full-time Nurse Practitioner with Gastroenterology experience to manage patient health care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role requires collaboration with healthcare team members while performing assessments, developing treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Candidates must possess a current APRN license and have relevant experience in hospitalist or gastroenterology settings.
This role will be outpatient and inpatient duties!
Hospitalist or Gastroenterology experience required.
Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner who is responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations. This position must comply with the standards of care, which include without limitation assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status and clinical management. The practice is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members.
Essential Skills:
• Knowledge of pertinent medical and drug information necessary to examine and treat gastroenterology patients.
• Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Has, or eligible for, hospital privileges
• Comfortable multitasking with a sharp attention to detail
• Can perform duties accurately in a timely and efficient manner.
•Education and Experience Required:
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure NY in good standing
• Current DEA certificate, NJ License and CDS
