About the Job
A leader in the chemical treatment field is seeking a Nurse Practitioner.
Type: HC-Full-Time/Perm
Location: Fresh Meadows, NY
Direct Responsibilities:
Works under the supervision of the attending physician and medical director.
Demonstrate competency in the use of ECR (Electronic Medical Records).
Screen patients for admission and assure that the patient meets the criteria for admission as outlined by the Department policies or is referred to an appropriate level of care
Performs history and physical examination on patients being admitted according to established policy.
Writes admission orders for patients
Notifies the attending physician of any serious medical findings related to care and management that require immediate attention.
Responds to all emergencies and documents findings in patient medical record.
Performs sick calls as needed and documents findings in patient chart
Initiates corrective action when indicated in accordance with the regulations of the Infection Control Committee.
Respects and supports patient's rights and confidentiality.
Participates in Department and Committee Meetings as assigned.
Maintains competency and knowledge in the field of alcohol and substance abuse and other addiction issues and trends.
Perform Pre-Employment Physicals for new hires when requested
Responsible for on-call duties when assigned
Performs other duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
Additional Responsibilities:
Employee acknowledges and agrees to uphold all CTFN's policies including the security and privacy policies with respect to PHI and those employees who utilizes CTFN's electronic health record system both in the facility and off site.
Supports the philosophy of the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Degree from approved school.
Experience:
Post graduate training or other professional medical experience which includes direct contact with patients in a primary care setting
Must be computer literate
Electronic Medical Record experience preferred (ECR)
License/ Registration /Certification:
Licensed by the State of New York with a current Registration in a Primary Care Specialty.
Current DEA registration (Including Suboxone Registration)
Narcotic Education Attestation Certificate
Infection Control Certificate
Certification in CPR
NPI Number

Physical:
Must be able to pass Clients physical examination and comply with employee health rules and regulations.
