Shriners Childrens’ Chicago is looking for a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to join our Hospital Team. Approximately 24 hours per week.

Opportunity exists for a Nurse Practitioner to join our health care team. Shriners Childrens' is dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing pediatric specialty care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs.
The Chicago Hospital provides comprehensive orthopedic, plastic, reconstructive and craniofacial surgery and rehabilitation / spinal cord injury care to children.
Under physician supervision will perform history, physical exams, rounds, patient care, and patient/family education. Will assist in the evaluation and work up of the patient, conferring with the physician on treatment and follow up. Interprets testing results. Where qualified may assist the surgeon in the operating room with all levels of procedures. Heavy clinic involvement. Overall manages primary, acute and chronic health problems through a comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis. Will execute and relay medical regimens, and administer a therapeutic or diagnostic measure as prescribed by the supervising physician within the applicable discipline’s scope of practice.
Qualifications:Requirements/Qualifications:
NP: Master’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing appropriate for certification as a nurse practitioner. Minimum two years of nursing experience required, preferably in pediatrics. Licensure if the state of Illinois as an APN is required. Must possess a current Illinois RNs licensure and be currently certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, and be licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
