Nurse Aide 1 and PCAs - Right at Home Wilmington

OPEN POSITION for NURSE AIDE 1 and PCAs in Wilmington, NC!

Right at Home Wilmington is actively hiring NA1 and PCAs who have dementia care experience, who want to work all shifts with a female client in the Wilmington, NC area. We're hiring for the following shifts:

• Monday- Friday: 7am-3pm; 3pm-9pm; 7pm-7am or 9pm-7am

• Saturday and Sunday: 7am-3pm, 3pm-9pm, 9pm-7am

   

  Here's what you can expect:

  • You will provide companionship for your client, including engaging in conversation and any activity in which she demonstrates an interest.  She enjoys puzzles, playing cards, working games on her tablet, sitting on the front porch watching the neighborhood kids, and going for rides in the car.  Your client is living with dementia, but she can have meaningful conversations and is able to verbalize her desires, dislikes, etc. 

  • You should be able to prepare a healthy meal for your client.

  • Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.  This may include cleaning floor, cleaning bathroom and bedroom, kitchen, laundry and linens change.  

  • Your client is currently requires a stand-pivot transfer. You will provide stand-by and/or light assistance while client is bathing, paying particular attention to fall prevention and safety intervention in the bathroom.  Hands-on assistance with dressing. You will also encourage/prompt your client to perform routine grooming such as brushing teeth and hair. 

  A valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and current TB skin test are required for this position.

Nurse Aides 1 and PCAs must be comfortable providing care, including:

• incontinence care and cleaning of client

• assisting with dressing and personal grooming activity such as, brushing teeth and hair, lotion, etc.

• assisting with feeding

• med reminders

Nurse Aides 1 and PCAs can also expect to:

• Assistance with transfers   

• prepare meals

• light housekeeping
