Nuclear Pharmacy is responsible for providing radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs to medical care providers under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines may also consult with or advise physicians and nuclear medicine technologists on the safe and efficacious use of radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy
Schedule
Part Time 18 hours per week. The typical schedule is Saturday 01:30AM-10:30AM and Sunday 01:30AM-10:30AM. Candidate must be flexible to work different days, hours and schedules based on business need.

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities in this role
Under immediate direction of a qualified licensed Nuclear Staff Pharmacist, the Nuclear Pharmacy Apprentice assists with basic high-tech pharmacy services by preparing, dispensing, and distributing quality radiopharmaceuticals according to the rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy. This role has responsibility for:
- Assisting in preparing and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals in keeping with the prescription and Company, State and Federal regulations
- Assisting in providing follow up service to the client or health care provider on an as needed basis
- Assisting in assaying medications to determine identity, purity and strength
- Assisting in performing white blood cell labeling
- Entering data regarding daily elution, kit preparations, and incoming inventory into computer
- Verifying physical inventory with computer records
- Maintaining lab equipment by performing checks and tests on a regular basis
- Performing other duties as required to insure a safe and efficient pharmacy operation
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Enrollment in an accredited school of pharmacy
- 2 years general work experience preferred
- Customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Must be 18 years of age to use a company vehicle if needed
