The Northern Appalachians Freshwater Conservation Manager manages a
suite of interrelated freshwater conservation strategies across the
seven-state region and may work beyond this region to further goals in
the full Appalachians. The Freshwater Conservation Manager will provide
leadership to a team of experienced conservation practitioners in
developing and implementing strategies at the intersection of freshwater
health and community resilience. Specifically, they will lead work to
accelerate the restoration of aquatic connectivity, restoration and
protection of floodplains and riparian forests, and meaningful
engagement with local communities. They serve as a principal regional

funders, and the academic community. They are a results-driven, strong
and effective communicator with experience in developing and
