POSITION SUMMARY:
- Responsible for maintaining all active MegaCorp Logistics loads during after hour's operations and informing Account Managers immediately of any serious problems, which may occur.
- Hybrid option after 90 days of employment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assisting Account Manager in servicing his/her business, including but not limited to development of the following:
- Relationships with carriers and skills in getting loads delivered successfully.
- Posting Loads and finding an interested carrier for the load.
- Skills in issuing comchecks for unloading, fuel, repairs, pallets, etc.
- Skills in use of company software.
- Skills in carrier setup and approval to carry MegaCorp loads.
- Develops and maintains excellent relationships with primary and secondary carriers for contracted freight moves.
- Entering check calls, cataloging all notes into company software, and informing Account Managers accordingly.
- Acts as a liaison between the Account Manager and clients, carriers, shippers and receivers after hours.
- Analyze the current progress of load and ensure load is on track for delivery. Provide assistance to drivers with loading/unloading problems. Provide the drivers with any missing information they will need to make a successful delivery.
- Monitors progress of loads; maintain awareness of potential in-transit issues, such as weather problems, traffic problems, and driver's logbook and take action in advance where possible to ensure timely delivery.
- Develops an ability to foresee future problems on a load and deal with them ahead of time.
- Analyze and resolve in-transit issues, taking client satisfaction and costs into consideration in determining best solution; consults with Account Managers so that they may take any necessary actions with their customer contacts.
- Ensures that all fees and costs are documented for each load to ensure Account Managers may bill loads accurately.
- Accurately enter and maintain up-to-date information on company software.
- Other duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1+ years Freight brokerage or logistics experience preferred

- Strong written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stay awake and alert while working late night, early morning, and weekend hour shifts.
- Ability to work with bilingual drivers.
- Ability to learn quickly, analyzes situations, and makes decisions which support the ongoing success of MegaCorp.
