Night Warehouse Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and manage actual performance against operational budget which includes proper management of department staffing levels and hours worked
• Review, track, and analyze key performance indicators such as order filling errors, on-time dispatches, productivity, and overall service levels. Develop and implement plans for improvement in these areas.
• Lead operational initiatives to ensure shipping accuracy goals are met
• Ensure superior onboarding and training of new crew members
• Responsible for forklift replenishment of slots to minimize rework of empty slots
• Manage the day order selection process and work flow to ensure timely dispatch of routes
• Manage the safety of crew members and facility cleanliness
• Manage and upkeep the USDA, SQF and other audits
• Implement process improvement programs utilizing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
• Provide assistance to the General Operations Manager on special projects
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Experience in a cold, wet, refrigerated environment

• Experience in a food / beverage environment

• 5 (+) years of  Distribution Center Management experience

• Education: HS Diploma or GED; BA/BS degree in logistics, business or industrial engineering or other related operations disciplines a plus

• Experience: Minimum of three years management/supervisory experience preferably in a large, high volume food warehouse / distribution center environment.

• Skills: Leadership, problem solving, decision making, good judgment, strong interpersonal skills, passion to serve, desire for improvement, excellent communication skills.
• Schedule: NIGHT shift including Saturdays, and some holiday
