Neuromuscular Neurologist Position at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center and MedStar Union Memorial Hospital-Sign On Bonus
MedStar Health is seeking a Neuromuscular Neurologist to join the team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center or MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Neurologists on staff have the opportunity to be on faculty at Georgetown University. Dr. Carlo Tornatore, Chief of Neurology for MedStar Health, and the team at Georgetown University welcome the faculty at Franklin Square to participate in MedStar wide grand rounds, faculty meetings, collaboration with other subspecialists within the department, and participation in clinical research and teaching.

- $70 million surgical pavilion that opened in 2020
- Join Dr. Elliot Dawson (Chief of Neurology) and their team of four neurologists
- Call is 1:5, covering both Franklin Square and Harbor Hospitals (20 minutes apart). Telestroke program implemented to lighten call. Neurohospitalist covers weekdays.
Position Highlights:
- Georgetown University faculty appointment (Associate or Assistant level, dependent on experience)
- Huge demand for EMGs at MFSMC large neurosurgical/orthospine services on campus.
- Support for clinical research
- Opportunities to teach medical students and residents
- Telestroke program implemented to lighten call. On average, just 1-2 calls after-hours, which can be taken from home.
