Neuro-Ophthalmologist opening in Urbana-Champaign, IL - Spencer Britt

Seeking an additional BE/BC Neuro-Ophthalmologist to join established Neurosciences Institute in Urbana, Illinois.

• Candidates must be BE/BC in Neurology or Ophthalmology and have additional fellowship training in Neuro-Ophthalmology
• Service area of over 2 million in the Central and Southern Illinois regions
• Strong referral base with little local competition
• Single hospital with strong hospitalist, neurohospitalist, neuro-intensive care, neuroradiology, advanced neuroimaging, emergency medicine, cardiology, and cardiothoracic support
• Comprehensive medical and surgical services provided for our patients with brain and spine disorders and participates in several clinical trials for patients who come from all over the Central Illinois region
• Department consists of 5 Ophthalmologists, 5 Optometrists, 1 Low Vision specialist, 5 ABOC Opticians and a dedicated Eye EMR support team. In addition to Neuro-Ophthalmology, our specialists include Vitreoretinal Surgery, Medical Retina, Cornea, and Pediatric Ophthalmology

• Practice will be at newly built clinic facility, surgeries are performed at our new, 23,000 square-foot ASC facility in Champaign
• State-of-the-art equipment including; 2 Zeiss IOLmaster 700, 2 Humphrey Visual Fields, 4 Heidelberg OCTs including FA, ICG & OCT-A, Cirrus OCT, Accutome UBM, A-scan & B-scan, Intraoperative OCT, Zeiss Lumera 700 microscopes, Alcon Centurion, Callisto Eye System, Lumenis Selecta II SLT laser, Zeiss Yag Visulas III laser, Lumenis Vision One laser, and Iridex Micropulse Laser
• Neurosciences team includes Neurology (adult & pediatric), Epileptology and EMU, Vascular Neurology & Neurointerventional (Comprehensive Stroke Center), Neuro-critical care, Neuro-radiology, Neuro-otology, Neuro-ophthalmology, Neuro-rehabilitation, Neuro-psychology, Pain management program and Sleep medicine program
• Collaborative opportunities for a variety of neuroscience translational research projects as well as opportunity for faculty appointment
• Opportunity to teach Neurology residents through our accredited residency program and medical students.
