We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and driven Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in the IT Services industry. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security systems to protect our computer networks and systems. As a Network Security Engineer, you will play an integral part in our operations, ensuring the integrity and safety of our data, network access, and backup systems. You will be responsible for the overall security of our network and will work closely with other members of the IT team to resolve any network security issues that may arise. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, and maintain network security systems to protect the organization's computer networks and systems.
2. Monitor computer networks for security issues, investigate violations when they occur, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
3. Create comprehensive security strategies that will allow the network to function efficiently and safely.
4. Conduct regular system tests and ensure continuous monitoring of network security.
5. Develop company-wide best practices for IT security and ensure compliance with these practices.
6. Stay up-to-date on the latest intelligence, including hackers’ methodologies, in order to anticipate security breaches.
7. Respond immediately to all security incidents and provide thorough post-event analyses.
8. Work independently and also maintain good communication and relations with team members and other staff.
9. Provide technical security advice on various projects, ensuring the incorporation of necessary security measures.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related qualification.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, system administration, or a similar role.
3. Proven experience with wireless controllers, Palo Alto, Network Engineering, wireless networking, Network Design, Network Architecture, Network configuration, Palo Alto Firewalls, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, CISCO Meraki, Cisco WLAN, LAN.
4. Strong understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
5. Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
6. Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner without impacting business continuity.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP or CISM will be an advantage.
