About the Job
When you work as a Network Security Engineer at KCAS, you get to further our mission by assisting the Senior Network Security Engineer with functions including: the implementation, maintenance, and integration of the corporate WAN, LAN and server architecture. This individual is also responsible for function and administration of network security hardware and software, enforcing the network security policy and complying with requirements of external security audits and recommendations.

In this role, we will rely on you to:
- Monitoring security systems, such as firewalls, EDR, auditing, AI monitoring systems, third party security posture tools, zero trust, and intrusion detection systems, and conducting post-deployment monitoring and testing
- Follow security policies, SOPs, and procedures into IT architectures and possess strong working knowledge of data and network security technologies.
- Monitoring disaster recovery sites, replication, data backups, and recovery operations
- Monitor and log security concerns and incidents and generate reports and track performance.
- Monitor security awareness and training of the workforce
- Performs periodic network scans, security audits, reviews, penetration testing, simulated attacks to find exploitable weaknesses
- Contribute to incident response and assist with conducting a technical and forensic investigation into how the breach happened and the extent of the damage.
- Monitor and assist with LAN, WAN, VLAN, segmentation, VPN, network protocols, and wireless networking
To qualify specifically for this role, you will have:
- 1 years related experience
- IT certification in related field
- Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods
- Knowledge of Active Directory, including user/group/OUs/policies/scripting
- Knowledge of storage area networks
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies
- Knowledge of file integrity monitoring and data loss prevention tools and methods
- Knowledge of desktop, notebook, and handheld devices and various office productivity software programs such as word processing, databases, spreadsheet programs, and communications software.
- Extensive knowledge designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures
- Extensive knowledge in endpoint security solutions, intrusion detection, firewall and content filtering
- Extensive knowledge of backup and recovery systems, disaster recovery methods
- Extensive knowledge of virtualization platforms
- Extensive knowledge of DHCP, DNS, NPS, VPN, RADIUS, and wireless technologies
