Position: Application Discovery Network Analyst

Location - St. Louis, MO

Duration: 6-18 month contract going permanent

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates information technology systems operations. Determines user needs and requirements and recommends ways to improve systems. Serves as primary point of contact between users and engineering/development staff. Identifies, documents, reports and tracks system issues. Supports the process of translating business needs into formal technical requirement deliverables. 5-10 years of experience.

application/server discovery on a network using an automated tool

that role is a someone who can use an automated tool to discover applications or servers that on the network. This will allow Charter to make sure they have all the controls in place.

Notes from the Manager:

This is doing application discovery that go out and sniff the network.

Here is what you see, here is what they are - we are trying to do the discovery to compare the cmdb and see what those extra applications are.

Verify devices on the network as well as identify devices we don't have in our record. Who the users are etc.

We take this data and give it to the users

Making sure we have inventory of all the actual applications.
