About the Job
The National Sales Manager is responsible for generating conference business from a national market, maximization of sales, development of potential markets and sound administration of assigned responsibilities through sensible delegation and personal attention to detail.
Position open to remote or hybrid candidates that are based within Washington, Oregon, or Idaho.
Annual Salary Range: $68,000.00 - $80,000.00 + Incentive plan

Responsibilities:- Make personal visits, when necessary to target areas and call on Companies and associations located in a specific market or area;
- Book meetings, conferences and social guests from assigned areas;
- Dedicate majority of time to direct telephone sales;
- Rework and maintain old account files and solicit new accounts;
- Respond to all correspondence from assigned areas and trace dates for reworking and follow up;
- Set-up site inspections and follow through;
- Attend trade shows pertinent to assigned areas and attend meetings, seminars and functions through membership in association;
- Perform general office duties and assist other personnel, as required;
- Maintain a constant contact with Corporate planners
- Be focused on two-way conversations with phone, email, social communication
- Maintain a working relationship with departments interacting with convention groups;
- Stay abreast of industry trends and make recommendations of changes which would affect operations.
- Maintain accurate forecast and recap information;
- Set-up and conduct site inspections for entire property.
- Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
- Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
- Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Suncadia Resort dress code standards.
- Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Preferred 3-5 years of Sales experience in group sales at a 3 or 4 Diamond resort with at least 200+ rooms and over 10,000 Sq. Ft. of meeting space with a proven track record of sales success and production results that exceed goals and expectations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum (2) two years of college, degree desirable.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Prefer experience in hotel sales or related industry.
- Aggressive, outgoing and self motivating individual with pleasant personality.
- Exceptional communication skills;
- Proven ability to function in high impact customer situations;
- Ability to work with computer programs such as Word and Excel;
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally in person, in writing and over the phone;
- Ability to document customer arrangements in a timely fashion with extreme accuracy;
- Must maintain clean, neat appearance and be organized;
- Must be able to work flexible hours and days including weekends, holidays and variable shift times.
