We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated National Inventory and Safety Manager (Food) to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and growing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing national inventory control and safety processes, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and driving operational efficiencies across all our warehouses.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee national inventory management strategies and processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all warehouse operations.
- Conduct daily cycle counts and regular audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Manage document control processes to ensure all records are accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with GFSI, SQF, and other food safety standards.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures in line with industry best practices.
- Lead the training and development of warehouse staff on inventory management and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Track, analyze, and report on inventory trends and performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations related to inventory management and food safety.
- Manage and resolve any inventory discrepancies and safety issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- Proven experience in food safety management, with a strong understanding of GFSI, SQF, and other relevant standards.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex inventory data and make informed decisions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to train and develop staff.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant inventory management software and systems.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in food safety management or a related field would be an advantage.
- Able to travel 50% annually to all of our facilities.
