Purpose of the job
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the NGC & SPC Supervisor is the support of the paper manufacturing areas for leading team safety, team quality, crew, and equipment productivity, managing crew training, controlling costs, and building annual budgets. Supervisor will use problem solving skills to ensure safety of all personnel and quality enhancements measured by rework reductions. Problem solving to address immediate equipment issues, improve equipment reliability, with this role’s primary focus in electrical, instrument and control teams/systems.

Work Experience
- Five or more years working in a manufacturing environment. Paper industry experience preferred.
- Strong Mechanical and Electrical Technical Knowledge.
- Five or more years supervising a team of individuals.
- Experience in SAP preferred.

- Ability to work for extended times in a pulp mill or paper mill environment, safely walk through our manufacturing plants and rough outdoor terrain, and wearing required personal protection gear (i.e. hand, hearing, breathing, head and foot protection).
- This job requires a fair amount of travel both local and non-local. The candidate must be able to drive for multiple hours in a day and expect to begin travel before and after normal work hours to allow for a full day of participation at the destination.
