About the Job
Solarity Credit Union is seeking a fulltime Mortgage Loan Officer at our North 5th branch in Yakima!
As Solarity's Mortgage Loan Officer you will create extraordinary experiences for current and potential realtors, COI's, and members by understanding their financial situation, anticipating their needs and guiding them through complex financial decisions better than any other provider. Build and maintain relationships with realtors and COI's that will provide mutually beneficial and sustainable revenue streams for the Credit Union while delivering substantial value to the member mortgage business. Be a highly capable financial counselor that routinely refers all deposit and lending products, as appropriate, offered by Solarity, and deepens member relationships.

The top candidate will have...
- 3 or more years of mortgage loan origination experience or mortgage related experience.
- Effective communication skills and a strong ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of conventional, government, and construction lending guidelines and Federal regulations.
- A proven ability to generate incoming loan business through contacts and relationships with realtors, builders, and other referral sources.
A day in the life of a Mortgage Loan Officer...
As a Mortgage Loan Officer with Solarity, your typical day may include:
- Helping potential homebuyers:
- To understand what they can afford.
- Learn what to expect as they enter the mortgage application process.
- To find a financing solution that best meets their needs.
- Gather the documentation needed to secure loan approval.
- Working with realtors, your assistant, mortgage processors, underwriters, title, escrow, and third party providers to keep the process moving.
- Working collaboratively with these individuals and groups to resolve issues, enabling your borrowers to close.
- Engaging with your peers and teammates to share experiences and learnings as we all work towards our common goal.
