Job Title: Associate Scientist – CRISPR & Gene Editing (Screening and Genotyping)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Overview:
Join an exciting research team in Tarrytown, NY, and support our target discovery pipeline using CRISPR technology. As an Associate Scientist, you will design and optimize cell-based screening assays, perform CRISPR screens, and validate genetic targets to advance genetic research. This role offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge molecular and cell biology techniques in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize CRISPR-based screens using genome-wide and targeted gRNA libraries.
- Work with mammalian cell lines and primary cells for gene editing.
- Perform flow cytometry, FACS, and immunofluorescence experiments.
- Validate CRISPR gene editing at the RNA, protein, and functional levels.
- Analyze data, generate plots, and present findings.
- Maintain accurate electronic lab records.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Genetics, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology.
- 2-3+ years of laboratory experience with tissue culture and cell engineering.
- Expertise in CRISPR-Cas9 technology, gene editing, and CRISPR screens.
- Proficiency in flow cytometry, FACS, and data analysis.
- Strong communication skills for team collaboration.
