We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Molding / Casting / Foundry Manager to join our dynamic, well-established team. This role is ideal for an individual who has a passion for overseeing and improving manufacturing processes, ensuring optimum performance and product quality while fostering a positive work environment.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for overall management of our molding operations. You will have 4 direct reports (Supervisors) and 45 indirect reports across 3 shifts. Your primary duties will include:
1. Overseeing the daily operations of the molding department, ensuring all processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
2. Conducting regular performance reviews to assess employee productivity and identify areas for improvement.
3. Developing and implementing strategies to improve production efficiency and product quality.
4. Working closely with other department managers to ensure coordination and cooperation across all areas of production.
5. Ensuring all safety and health regulations are strictly adhered to, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
6. Training and mentoring staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Troubleshooting any issues that arise in the molding processes, implementing solutions promptly to minimize downtime.
8. Regularly reporting on department performance to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a managerial role within the manufacturing industry, specifically in molding, casting, or foundry environment.
2. Proven experience conducting performance reviews and implementing strategies to improve productivity and quality.
3. Strong knowledge of molding processes, materials, and equipment.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and mentor a team.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
8. A strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
9. A degree in a relevant field such as Engineering or Manufacturing is preferred.
10. Passion for this work and desire to be a great leader within a collaborative organization.
