Quality Control Associate
This entry level contract to hire opportunity is located in Amherst NH, Offering a 1st Shift 9/80 Workweek: Monday through Friday, with every other Friday off.

Summary
This role involves performing a variety of inspections on incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and final products. It ensures all products meet high-quality standards by following established inspection methods and procedures.
Daily Activities Include:
- Inspecting incoming materials, in-process production parts, and final assemblies using tools such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and microscopes.
- Performing tests on final assemblies (e.g., regulators, air cylinders) using standard and specialized equipment to ensure performance meets specifications.
- Regularly verifying the accuracy of inspection and production gauges as per schedule.
- Identifying and communicating defective work or variances to the Quality Manager.
- Maintaining inspection records and generating reports using standard forms.
- Ensuring the work area remains clean and organized while adhering to safety protocols.
- Moving materials as needed to complete tasks or as directed.
- Reporting any improper operations, faulty equipment, or unusual conditions.
- Supporting additional duties as required or directed.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and written instructions.
- Proficiency with dimensional and inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
- Capability to work independently in a dynamic production environment.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Must stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
- Exposure to oils and fluids is expected in the course of work.
- Requires visual acuity for detailed inspections of small parts and defects.
- Ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks and handle interruptions effectively.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
