Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mitigation Project Manager to oversee emergency response and restoration projects. In this role, you will manage disaster recovery jobs from inspection to completion, ensuring top-quality service and customer satisfaction. Flexibility is essential as the nature of this work requires availability to respond to emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Inspect new loss sites to assess damage and plan mitigation work.
- Meet with customers to explain the claim process, restoration scope, and timelines.
- Maintain oversight of ongoing jobs through consistent communication and on-site inspections.
- Prepare detailed written estimates using Xactimate and review estimates from other project managers for accuracy.
- Ensure job profitability by monitoring project budgets and maintaining appropriate margins.
- Communicate regularly with all parties involved in claims, including property owners, referral sources, adjusters, agents, and team members.
- Provide job updates during weekly Production Meetings.
Labor Management:
- Coordinate staffing for mitigation jobs, including scheduling technicians and subcontractors.
- Issue clear daily work orders to technicians, detailing project scope, required equipment, materials, and any customer-specific needs.
- Maximize labor resources through efficient planning and advanced scheduling.
Customer and Team Relations:
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with customers and staff.
- Clearly communicate the restoration process and insurance carrier procedures to customers, ensuring they remain informed and updated throughout the project.
- Proactively manage customer expectations while reinforcing the priority of customer satisfaction.
- Keep insurance adjusters and other stakeholders informed of claim progress.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in the restoration or construction industries.
- IICRC certifications (required).
- Proficiency in Xactimate and understanding of the restoration claims process.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
