Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic Middle School Volleyball Coach to help build up our program by maximizing potential and empowering confidence within our student-athletes. Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy, a Prekindergarten – Grade 12 independent school, is a vibrant and dynamic environment in which to work located in Stamford, CT. The Middle School Volleyball Coach will work with the Athletic Director to help develop our student-athletes and develop the overall skill of our volleyball program.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Coach a middle school volleyball team, 5/6th grade or 7/8th grade.
Serve as a positive role model to the players and parents
Teach volleyball techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics
Condition athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength and agility
Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one’s team
Monitor players personal conduct during games
Manage equipment and playing facilities in a responsible manner
Performs related duties as required
Develop a culture for growth and development within the program.
Exemplify a sense of professionalism at all times which includes game and practice times, with opponents, officials, parents, faculty, staff and administration.
Attend and speak at the annual athletic banquet.
Qualifications:
Previous head coaching and or assistant coaching experience at the youth volleyball level
A sound knowledge in volleyball techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics
Ability to teach the fundamentals, passing, hitting, serving and etc
A leader with extraordinarily high expectations of her/himself and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
A genuine care for working with kids and motivating them
Compensation: Stipend Position
