Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is currently seeking a Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist to join the Government Security group in Herndon, VA.
This position will be supporting new initiatives for Condor and/or Grayson programs and including exciting opportunities to work in a fast-paced innovative environment.
This position will be working with new cutting-edge technology within a multi-faceted statement of work, and support various functions including program security, trainings, personnel security and establishing new spaces within the Herndon site.
Successful candidates will hold an Active TS/SCI clearance with current Tier 5 background.
Preference will be given to candidates with Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph, but is not required.
This position will require excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing ability Position Responsibilities:
• Conducts assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.
• Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action.
• Assists less experienced personnel with Internal Security Controls.
• Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs.
• Leads and performs Personnel Security team and/or processes (works with databases, reviews files, conducts interviews, submittals to customers and schedules briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for standard customer requirements.
• Conducts security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information.
• Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements.
• Performs Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements.
• Participates, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires an active Top Secret U.S.
Security Clearance (A U.S.
Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) and current SCI eligibility with an active counterintelligence polygraph.
This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S.
Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program within the last 5 years.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• 1+ year of experience in Industrial Security
• 1+ years of experience supporting Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Programs (SAP) programs.
• Experience working in a classified environment Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Active Counterintelligence Polygraph
• Experience working in any of the following positions: Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO or ACPSO); Program Security Officer (PSO); Program Security Representative (PSR) or Program Security Manager Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically 6 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience.
Advanced degree (e.g.
Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Work shift: This position will be for 1st shift.
