Medium and High Voltage Electrician Overseas Openings! (Secret Clearance Required)
Locations: Guantanamo Bay, Cuba | MSAB Air Base, Jordan | Al Jabar Air Base, Kuwait
Compensation Ranges: $95,000 - $120,000
Position Summary: We are seeking experienced High Voltage Electricians for three critical positions at overseas military installations. These roles involve operating and maintaining high-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution networks and equipment in challenging international environments.
Common Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain high voltage distribution networks (up to 13kV) and power plant equipment (5-85 MW)
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on MV/HV systems
- Install, connect, and maintain transformers, switchgear, and underground cables
- Locate and rectify faults in overhead and underground power networks
- Lead and train electrical teams in routine installation, maintenance, and repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA and NFPA standards
- Operate and maintain SCADA/PLC controls, remote monitoring, and alarm systems
- Respond to power outages and equipment breakdowns
- Maintain accurate records and technical documentation
Qualifications:
- Active Secret Security Clearance (required prior to deployment)
- Valid US passport
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a licensed electrician, specializing in MV/HV systems
- Experience with voltages ranging from 120V to 13kV
- Proficiency in using MV testing tools, diagnostic devices, and measuring equipment
- NFPA 70E training and knowledge of industrial safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Willingness to work up to 72 hours per week in challenging environments
- Ability to pass a medical screening prior to deployment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with synchronized diesel power generators and fault detection in underground networks
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and PLC controls
- Experience training diverse teams in technical operations
- Military experience in contingency environments
- Electrical Engineering degree or certificate
