Medicare Client Executive, Small Business Unit - Hylant

About the Job
This position is responsible for assisting Medicare eligible citizens with enrollment in Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage), Medicare supplements, and/or Medicare Part D by providing education, enrollment assistance, and advocacy. Emphasis will be placed on assisting group clients with understanding Medicare and assisting their employees through the process of enrollment as they leave the group plan. Responsible for handling incoming leads from group business and internal referrals.
In This Role You Will Execute On:
- Presenting products and programs to current group clients to educate them on Medicare Advantage, Medicare supplements, prescription drug plans, and specialty products.
- Educating current clients on available healthcare options.
- Working knowledge of Epic as appropriate
- Carriers & other service providers (underwriting contacts, forms, niche, )
- Advanced knowledge of coverages and regulations pertaining to Medicare
- Mandatory attendance at staff meetings and training sessions
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Ability and willingness to act as an advocate for Hylant relative to the community
- Enhanced working and technical knowledge of the insurance industry including but not limited to
- Process tasks, according to Hylant Group Procedure, including but not limited to:
- Develop strong centers of influence with Hylant employees, but especially CE’s
- Understand and adopt of Hylant sales tools and practices
- Retention goal of 93%
- Represent Hylant in the local community and look to join relevant committees/boards
- Detailed oriented and able to follow established EPIC procedures
- Strong follow up skills and ability to keep all interested parties notified
- Strong desire to want to help people no matter the situation
- Self-directed team player
- Disciplined, organized and efficient, effective at time management with an ability to handle multiple projects at the same time effectively
- Develop and foster relationships with carrier partners.
- Ability to use online carrier rating websites to quote and issue Medicare Advantage, supplement, prescription, and ancillary insurance
- Effective written, oral and tech communication skills
In This Role You Will Need:
- A minimum of one 1- 3 years of experience in insurance industry and knowledge of insurance concepts (e.g., deductible, coinsurance, premiums, risk management)
- Medicare experience (presenting and enrolling products and programs to potential prospects, including Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplements, Prescription Drug Plans and Specialty)
- America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) certified or must be willing to become licensed
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Insurance experience preferred; proven track record of success
- State Life and Health License
- Excellent communication skills, including listening, speaking and writing
- Flexibility and creativity for developing innovative and customized business solutions
- Exceptional relationship development and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with others in solution of mutual problems; respects the opinions, abilities, and contributions of others; cooperative and open minded in working with others.
- Computer literacy for Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and faxing with the ability to create and edit spreadsheets, presentations and correspondence, perform data entry and access data
