About the Job
In keeping with our organization’s goal of improving the lives of the residents we serve, the Medical Records/Staffing Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the HR Department and responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources function. This position will also serves as the Medical Records Coordinator.

1. Communicates changes in personnel policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed.
2. Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance.
3. Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.
4. Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
5. Administers workers compensation program and works closely with workers compensation carrier to ensure claims are processed timely.
6. Administers the employee benefits program and assists with annual employee benefits open enrollment process.
7. Assists department managers with disciplinary procedures and ensures disciplinary actions are administered fairly and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
8. Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system for the Human Resources Department.
9. Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Guests and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment.
10. Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Guests/guests, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
11. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
Medical Records Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Provide direct care according to the individualized resident treatment plan
2. Participate in resident care assessments and restorative nursing programs
3. Maintain current certification by attending & participating in training and educational classes
4. Deliver the highest quality of care possible to each resident, serving with kindness and compassion

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This position is part of a health care facility that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Evening and weekend work as well as holiday and work during inclement weather may/will be required.
Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience: Two years’ experience in a H.R. role, preferably in a health care setting.
Preferred Education and Experience: PHR or SPHR certification and two years related experience
