Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining information involving current staffs and contract staff demographic information, skill sets, availability, and productivity levels.
- Accurately completes all workflow associated with staff requests for changes in start of care/change in insurance readmission, recertification of services, missed visit, visit time exceptions, visit time change requests and all associated workflow as assigned.
- Supports clinical leadership by maintaining the proper daily workflow of tasks.
- Communicates effectively, professionally, and thoroughly with staff regarding coordination of care expectations, educates and enforces deadlines, and establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and contractual staff.
- Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency.
- Provides information/feedback insight for gaps in start of care/change in insurance readmission schedules.
- Assists clinical and marketing team with needs related to referrals and Start of Care scheduling.
- Ensures compliance with all state, federal & Medicare regulatory requirements.
- Answer and coordinate inbound phone calls.
- Other duties and responsibilities as needed-assigned by Director of Operations or Executive Director.
- Works in conjunction with Director of Operations to maintain a smooth operation of the entire referral process.
- Manages all daily clinical records functions with physician communication documents to/from provider's office and to/from clinician.
- Ensures clinical record systems are maintained in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Protects the confidentiality of patient and organization information through effective controls and direct supervision of clinical records.
- Monitors aged unsigned physician orders and submit second and third requests for signed orders to overdue physicians.
- Updates Physicians information In Homecare Homebase. Help upload and track patient consent forms and lab orders.
- Answers telephone inquiries and channels them appropriately.
- Help with office clerical duties as assigned (assemble Start of Care Packets).
- As required by Medicare, weekly mail Patient Summary Reports in a timely manner.
- Assistant with patient's needs of medical equipment. (work with vendors and clinicians)
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director/Administrator.
- Assist with billing and intake as assigned.

- Personal computer skills
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous billing and computer experience preferred but not required.
