- Assist senior attorneys in handling medical malpractice cases
- Conduct legal research and analyze medical records
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Participate in client interviews and witness depositions
- Assist in case preparation and trial strategy development
- Attend court hearings and observe trial proceedings
- Collaborate with medical experts and other professionals
- Stay informed about current trends in medical malpractice law and healthcare regulations
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar Association
- 1-3 years of legal experience, with some exposure to medical malpractice cases
- Strong academic record and excellent research and writing skills
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare processes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
