Iowa Orthopedic Center is actively seeking a Medical Imaging Manager. The Imaging Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the imaging department to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery to patients. This role will lead, manage, and support the imaging staff, oversee scheduling, manage resources, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The Imaging Manager will also focus on enhancing patient experience, maintaining equipment functionality, and implementing department improvements aligned with Iowa Ortho's purpose.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee daily imaging operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
- Ensure high standards of patient care and safety within the department.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote efficiency, quality, and patient satisfaction.
- Manage equipment hardware and software upgrades.
Leadership and Staff Management
- Lead, coach, and support the imaging team to ensure high performance and morale.
- Conduct team meetings, provide feedback, and support career development opportunities for staff.
- Manage hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations in collaboration with HR.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including ACR (American College of Radiology), HIPAA and OSHA.
- Develop quality control protocols to maintain imaging standards and patient safety.
- Conduct regular audits and performance reviews to uphold service quality.
Financial and Resource Management
- Monitor department budget and expenses, seeking cost-effective solutions to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment maintenance, repairs, and upgrades as needed.
- Track and report on department performance metrics, providing insights for improvements.
Patient Care and Experience
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Respond to patient and provider concerns, resolving issues promptly to enhance the overall experience.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline patient flow and optimize service delivery.
Strategic Planning and Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve departmental processes, incorporating industry best practices and technological advancements.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to align the imaging department with Iowa Ortho's long term objectives.
- Associate's Degree in Radiology, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Valid Radiology Technologist license through the State of Iowa; ARRT Certification
- Three (3) years of prior experience in MRI
- Proficiency in imaging software and technology
- At least one year of prior experience in a supervisory or management role
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Mandatory reporter certification
- PACS (picture archiving and communication system) experience
- Effective leadership skills including the ability to mentor and develop staff
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of imaging hardware and software
- Background and understanding of compliance and quality assurance
