Position Summary | The Office of Education, within theDepartment of Internal Medicine, is seeking a Medical Education ProgramAssistant 2 to support all aspects of the Internal Medicine ResidencyProgram. This position is responsible for providing support to theProgram Specialist, Program Manager and be a first point of contact forresidents, students, and faculty for the Education division. The Medical EducationProgram Assistant 2 will be responsible for organizing, setting- up, andcleaning-up after weekly events such as Thursday School, Grand Rounds, andAfternoon Report. They will also support the program manager in compilinginformation and tracking for annual reports, and other compliance datarequirements. Will work with the program specialist to coordinaterecruitment dates and materials, leave requests, process reimbursements,arrange travel, event planning, order supplies, and monitor resident progressthrough the residency program. The Medical Education Program Assistant willalso be responsible for answering phones and responding other inquiries for theEducation division. They will also provide support and back-up for theUndergraduate Medical Education Program Clerkship on an as needed basis. Thesuccessful candidate will have exceptionally strong computer, communication,and organizational skills. This is a high priority position for a complex and active unitwithin Internal Medicine. This position is an integral partof the Residency Program. They provide daily assistance to residents andfaculty as well as help the residency program run. They are greatly needed toassist with the upcoming events and daily tasks. The Department of Internal Medicine is a large, progressivedepartment with a diverse staff working in dedicated teams to provide qualitywork in an organized, effective and efficient manner through innovation,training, and education. Through our collaborative work effort, we support thefaculty and enhance the missions of the department, school, Health SciencesCenter and University. |

Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
