Medical Director/Physician - Green Leaf Productions Inc

We are seeking a highly qualified Medical Director/ Physician to join our team at Mount Weather Emergency

Minimum Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Active medical license in the state of Virginia
• Board certification in a relevant specialty
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
• Experience in a leadership or management role
• Must posse a current Top Secret Clearance
• Experience in emergency medicine or disaster response
• Experience working in a government or military setting
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical care to staff and residents
• Develop and implement medical policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Provide medical expertise and guidance
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of care
• Provide patient care during emergencies and disaster preparedness activities and
  exercises.
• All medical personnel must be able to operate current on-site medical equipment
  including, but not limited to, portable x-ray machine, intensive care unit equipment, and
  laboratory equipment.
• All medical personnel must be able to perform point of care laboratory services including
  blood gas, lactate, coagulation, Chem-8, troponin, hemoglobin, glucometer, and urine dip
  strips/HCG, and perform blood draws (CBC, lipid panel, A1C, thyroid function, liver
  function tests) for physical/fitness for duty exams.
• All physicians, at a minimum, must be trained, certified, and capable of providing urgent
  care, emergency medicine, critical care, minor surgical repair, and inpatient holding for
  initial treatment of workplace emergencies and during operations.

Additionally, you will need to be able to make critical decisions quickly and efficiently. Your medical expertise and knowledge will be essential in providing the highest level of care to our team and residents. Finally, your ability to adapt to changing situations and think creatively will be critical in ensuring the success of our medical program.
