MUST:
Certified Medical Assistant
6 months years of experience as a Medical Assistant
Ability to work with clinical staff
Ability to learn about patients and their problems
Superior interpersonal and communication skills
Attentive to detail and accuracy and spelling
Great Personality
EMR experience
DUTIES:
Prepare patient for examination.
Note brief history and reason for visit in the patients chart.
Assist the physician in completing examination and procedures as instructed.
Completely fill out lab slips and other forms, when necessary.
Administer medications as ordered.
Completes timely documentation of notes.
Assist the physician in patient education.
Stock exam rooms with supplies.
Clean medical instruments and equipment.
Prepare all trays for procedures.
Ensures patient follow-up phone calls are made
Ensures all medications are drawn up as needed.
Adheres to all OSHA standards regarding PPE (gowns, gloves, safety goggles) when performing patient care and for all surgical procedures.
Reviews consent forms.
Provides proper wound care
Other duties as assigned.
