Key Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks such as taking patient vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting providers during procedures.
- Manage administrative duties, including scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate medical records, and verifying patient information.
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing patient inquiries and ensuring a welcoming, professional environment.
- Adhere to organizational policies, safety protocols, and infection control measures.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or clinic setting preferred but not required.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required at the time of hire.
- RMA, AAMA, or CCMA certification required within one year of hire.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage clinical and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, providers, and team members.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in clinical and administrative tasks.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Lift and carry medical supplies or equipment, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Perform repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Manual dexterity for operating medical equipment and performing procedures.
Working Conditions
- Work in a clean, well-maintained indoor clinical environment.
- Regular interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and support staff in a professional and collaborative setting.
- Exposure to medical equipment and instruments, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Compliance with established work schedules, which may include evenings and weekends.
