Position Name: Medical Assistant (MA) - Float
Location: Tucson, AZ- Float to different clinics in area.
Employment Type: Direct-Hire & Permanent
Setting: Primary Care
Pay
$20-$23 per hour
Qualifications - Education and Experience
Required:
- At least 3+ years of work experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare vocational training (i.e. foreign-trained physician, paramedic, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent education (GED).
- BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Ability to travel on occasion for meetings.
Preferred:
- 6+ months' phlebotomy experience.
- EClinicalWorks or similar EMR experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience.
- Experience working with geriatric patients.

Job Summary
- Conduct intakes with patients, review medical history, record vital signs, perform routine screenings/exams, conduct patient interviews and answer their questions/concerns.
- Process patient calls, route calls to necessary team members, call patient with important info from the Provider.
- Change dressings, apply bandages, and suture removal.
- Complete documentation in EMR in a timely manner.
- Provide health coaching to patients and conduct follow-up calls.
